Denmark logistics giant DSV starts construction on regional headquarters in Mesa
A major logistics and transportation company has started work on its new Mesa regional headquarters.
Denmark-based DSV will begin construction on an 87-acre piece of land near Ellsworth and Pecos roads in southeast Mesa after company executives and Mesa city officials turned the first shovel of dirt during a Jan. 21 ceremony.
Within a year, the vacant lot will turn into a 950,000-square-foot facility, serving semiconductor customers and housing several company divisions, according to a company announcement.
DSV is among the largest global transport and logistics companies, with thousands of employees, offices and facilities in more than 90 countries. The company provides logistics and supply chain solutions in industries such as aerospace, energy, health care and technology, moving goods by road, air, sea and rail.
The $14.5 million investment will support the growing semiconductor industry in Phoenix, which is home to the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Intel, Onsemi and Microchip Technology Inc. It will also provide space for 160 employees.

Lynn Ware, DSV’s director of Inventory Management Solutions said the company has been in Mesa since 2007.
“Now that we are seeing the DSV footprint increase, Arizona is really going to become this regional hub for DSV. It’s really going to expand our capabilities and the offerings we can provide to clients,” Ware told the Phoenix Business Journal at the Jan. 21 event.
DSV exec: Mesa airport key to plant location
Ware said the company chose Mesa for its regional headquarters for a few reasons. The location is near the Mesa Gateway Airport where DSV has a hangar, allowing charters to bring in and ship out materials nearby. Plus Mesa is also near the Los Angeles ports, and the company has had support from the city in the past.
Josh Summers, CEO of DSV contract logistics, also said the city of Mesa worked with the company to “progress things quickly.”
DSV added an air charter route out of the Mesa Gateway Airport in 2023 to connect Arizona to Europe and Latin America and to help with its growing semiconductor customer base. The route helps move cargo and avoid congestion at other airports, according to a release from that year.
Initially, the company planned for a larger buildout with a 1.7 million-square-foot building and an adjacent two-story, 30,000-square-foot regional corporate headquarters, the Business Journal reported in 2023. But those plans were revised last year due to market changes, Summers said.
“We’ve decided to go a little conservative off the bat, and as we continue to grow here in Arizona, then the hope is to expand,” Ware said.
DSV currently has offices and warehouses in Phoenix, Mesa and Chandler.
As for other new projects in Mesa, KoMiCo, a South Korea-based semiconductor supplier, opened its $60 million facility Jan. 12 at 7300 E. Hampton Ave. The company anticipates creating 200 total jobs at the facility.
Final Thoughts:
DSV’s new Mesa regional headquarters underscores the East Valley’s growing role as a logistics and semiconductor support hub. With proximity to Mesa Gateway Airport, major transportation corridors, and Arizona’s expanding chip industry, the project highlights Mesa’s strategic advantage for global supply chain and advanced manufacturing operations.
